Betrayal

When many looked up to you
They believed in your abilities to lead
Then you betrayed their trust
Your own you cared not for
Rather you abused and manipulated
How would they admire you now?
From you what can they emulate?
When the elders have forsaken the values
Which they once stood for and believed in
Now the grey haired is daft
Worse than the youth in folly
Now age is subject to insult
The young now despise old age
All because you could not act your age
Rather they are now despicable
The juveniles from you have nothing to learn
All they think is your trickery
To them your golden life is mockery
