it has closed in gaps

bridged distances

linked hinterlands

connected the afar and farther placed

yet a rift it has formed

among the present and nearby

two sit on one couch

yet they are miles apart in mind

separated by light distance there

two rested on a single bed

apart in connection

as one is in the west

absorbed in eastern news the other is

so detached from the present moment

and person that they are in touch with the away ones

less appreciation is shown to them available

connected us to afar of yes it has done so well

yet a chasm has been a creation of its abuse

we can see the far hinterlands and are in awe

yet we have being so blind to the environs beauty

time is now just an illusion

we no-longer urge for time travel

we can be in places without moving a toe

developed now is a gap

dividing those at the same place

how sweet yet bitter
