Directed they a total shutdown

Fearing the effect and power of it

Citing abuse and misuse of privilege

Oblivious of the fact that it was now an inherent right

That people communicate and reach out

To whom and with what whenever and wherever

The need to link up and connect with others

They shut out the public

From accessing the web

Saying it is a matter of state security

For your own protection and good

They made it their cause

Lest the detractors are advantaged

To abuse it and conspire

With those whom colleges had given a gown

Blind and darken the plots by a complete shutdown

Would it succeed?

Would it deliver efficacy

When many sought for work

They never got anything

Frustrated were all their efforts

Then many became disgruntled

Asking why they had sacrificed time and resources

Marched had they with hope and anticipation

Of a betterment of their conditions

They were now subjected to chains

It created despondence

Creating a riotous correspondence from the youth
